Starting salary £45,865pa with potential progression to £49,021pa on achieving designated skills and experience

37 hours per week (hybrid working)

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced building professional to join our team to help us transform the way we deliver property maintenance in Welwyn Hatfield, and we are looking to fill the role of Repairs and Voids Manager to help us achieve our ambitions. If you believe you can bring new ideas and energy to exceed the expectations of our tenants and other residents in the Borough, we’d love to hear from you.

You will lead on the effective customer focus of the service, developing and maintaining strong partnering relationships with our repairs contractor whilst supporting and driving organisational and cultural change to deliver the Council’s mission and values.

Leading and managing a dedicated team of technical staff, you will set targets for high standards of performance in repairs and voids services.

We are a customer focused organisation, and you must also maintain a commitment to their needs at all times.

You will have a good level of experience working at senior level in property services, including the management of staff. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a strategic approach to work and the skills to introduce new ideas and working practices.

The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post

Closing date for applications is 26 March 2023.

Assessments will be held on 30 March and interviews will be held on 5 April 2023.
