Private Sector Housing Team Leader

Lead and develop Private Sector Housing in the Sevenoaks District!

Our team seeks to develop improvements within private sector housing. With your experience, you’ll bring initiative and leadership to the team to oversee all operational activities from enforcement action, energy efficiency to the administration of grants.

You will investigate complaints and undertake inspections of House in Multiple Occupations (HMOs), private sector dwellings and take action to ensure the health and safety of the occupants and that homes are well managed, interpreting guidance relating to the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS), its implementation and enforcement.

You’ll provide advice and guidance to customers and partners ensuring that legislation is being met in the private rented sector across the District.

With your experience of grants, working with partners to improve home safety and deliver adaptations to help customers to continue to live independently, you’ll be comfortable managing budgets and ensuring that all aspects of evaluation and monitoring are carried out.

You’ll have the opportunity to develop your strategic approach by assisting with the implementation of the Housing Strategy and Empty Homes Strategy to ensure the customer remains at the focus of our work.
