A new and exciting opportunity to play a key role in the transformation and regeneration of assets, places, and local communities.

Join our Property and Development service and be part of an innovative and exciting team focusing on targeting, designing, and delivering important commercial developments and ventures; driving the delivery of the levelling up agenda, increasing housing supply, and generating new income growth across the sector to make lasting improvements to our places.

Your role as Senior Project Manager will span the Councils and other organisations within the public sector. You will provide project management services to large scale projects, including strategic asset rationalisation / redevelopment and grant funded capital schemes, taking projects from concept to completion. You will work closely with internal and external multi-disciplinary project teams, representatives from external, public sector (client) organisations and private developers to deliver projects on time and to budget.

You will manage the delivery of a significant estate transformation project for one of the Councils’ key partners - the East Sussex College Group (ESCG) - covering estate rationalisation, new investment and development, and asset regeneration.

You will be a pro-active, high performing, self-motivated individual with a strategic approach who is able to work under pressure and has experience of working in a project management environment, with a varied property portfolio and including the development of mixed-tenure schemes. You will have strong all round communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships within the organisation as well as with external strategic partners, clients, and stakeholders.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a busy and challenging environment. You must be a team player, working on your own initiatives and organising your own workload. Political awareness and understanding are essential, as you will be working with elected councillors, senior managers in the Councils and other organisations, members of the public and other key stakeholders.

If you want to make a difference within an exciting and growing service, working across two organisations, we’d love to hear from you.

Closing Date: 22 March 2023, midday
