Would you like to be part of a dynamic and rewarding service working with children and young people with additional needs in North Somerset?
North Somerset Sitting Service is looking to recruit a passionate, enthusiastic, and organised person to become a Team Lead and be part of our small team which provides valuable services for children and young people aged 0 to 25 with a wide range of additional needs. This is a 16 hour, permanent position.
This work may require working some evenings and some weekends.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the leadership, planning, running, ongoing development and success of the Sitting Service. This service provides eligible families with a Community Care Worker, who will provide care for children and young people with additional needs in their homes or in the community which enables respite for parents and carers. Other work includes recruitment, induction, training, and supervision of a group of approximately 12 part time sitters and attending multi-agency meetings for the children and young people who access the service.
You will need a level 3 Childcare/Health and Social Care qualification or equivalent.
We have strong partnership working with colleagues across a range of teams including social care, children’s centres, health, and education.
Excellent communication and IT skills, flexibility, leadership and being a team player are essential for this post.
These posts are exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitations of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and are subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
