Hours:                                    37 hours per week

Contract:                               Fixed term for 12 months

We are looking for two individuals to join our Complaints & Directorate Governance Team on a 12-month temporary basis to assist with a backlog of work in Subject Access Requests (SARs) across the children’s (social care and Special Educational Need and Disabilities), Adults (social care) and Housing Directorates.

 

The Subject Access Assistant postholder retrieves data about a person’s history to enable them to understand their past so they can continue their future life journey.  Details held by the Council are released to the applicant, but information relating to others is redacted (removed). 

 

We are looking for candidates who are excellent in terms of their attention to detail, who are able to work with highly confidential and sometimes disturbing information to ensure that the material disclosed meets SARs guidelines. The successful applicants will join a small team helping them to retrieve files and work on the less complex redactions.

 

Although it will be beneficial if the successful applicants has data controlling experience, full training will be given.
