This role is the perfect fit for an experienced primary school teacher who wants to bring creativity and passion to their work. The successful candidate will possess the dedication, resilience, empathy and commitment to work effectively in what can be a physically and emotionally demanding environment.
You will be encouraged to introduce your own ideas, energy and enthusiasm into our highly supportive environment, nurturing all aspects of pupil development, learning and growth. We view behaviour as communication, and we will support you to bring your experience, empathy and compassion to your work. We’ll value the skills and understanding that you’ll bring from a diverse professional and personal background, and you’ll be encouraged to share your interests and hobbies with our children.
Within this role you’ll also lead a subject of interest to you. The subject will be discussed at interview, but we are particularly keen to hear from anyone with a specialism or interest in PE.
As a non-maintained, therapeutic, residential school working with vulnerable and emotionally troubled primary-aged children, we have been assessed consistently as good or better by Ofsted for the education we provide. Each class has up to eight pupils and is supported by a Senior Teaching Assistant and a Teaching Assistant. We have created highly effective development and education programmes to ensure that everyone here is suitably skilled and competent to meet the demands of our environment.
It’s vital that our children experience a diverse community with a range of role models and a rich cultural mix. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and communities, and we’d love you to join us on our journey.
