Prendergast Vale School - Head of PE
Inner London MPS / UPR + TLR 2a (£3,017 per annum)
Would you like to work in a small school in a big community? At Prendergast Vale School we believe all our pupils can achieve success in life by working hard and being kind.
We wish to appoint a Head of PE to lead and manage our PE Department from September 2023. We have excellent sporting facilities with a fully equipped Sports Hall and a multi-use games area.
The successful candidate will be a committed and experienced teacher, who is a highly effective classroom practitioner, and has management aspirations within PE.
The role will include teaching PE across KS3 to KS4 including GCSE PE, providing leadership and management of staff, developing enrichment opportunities for students and demonstrating the ability and commitment to securing high standards of student achievement. You will also be responsible for developing students’ knowledge and awareness of a healthy lifestyle and wellbeing. A commitment to develop and participate in extra-curricular activities for students is essential.
The post is suitable for a fully qualified teacher looking to take a step into a middle leadership role and develop their career in an environment offering outstanding training and progression programmes to all.
