Making A Difference as an Assistive Technology Officer in Place Services

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably motivated and enthusiastic person to join the Council’s Home Improvement Agency in our busy Assistive Technology Team. This post will require the successful applicant to work with new and existing assistive technologies, vulnerable residents, colleagues from other departments in order to ensure that those people can remain living at home independently in safety and comfort.

For this demanding role you will need to have a passion for assistive technologies, be an excellent communicator with the confidence to liaise with customers, colleagues, and professionals etc. You will possess proven organisational skills along with the ability to deal with complex issues in a sensitive manor. Possess excellent IT skills, and a eagerness to learn. Working flexibly both as a team member and on your own in a demanding and diverse customer-focused environment you will ideally have experience of working with elderly, disabled, vulnerable clients.
