About the role

 

This job itself offers a great opportunity to make a real difference to many resident’s lives through the delivery of a wide range of projects. Your day-to-day work could vary from producing feasibility studies for the conversion or extension, or both, of a Victorian property architype, to the planning of a kitchen design for a wheelchair user, to the bathroom conversion for a level access shower, or the designing of access works such as ramps and lifts. The work is varied and challenging.  Works include full contract and project management of a portfolio of projects, both big and small.

 

About You

  • We need you to be a good empathetic communicator with a proven background in domestic disability adaptations, construction, and project management.
  • Good understanding of current domestic adaptation products and an ability to work with Occupational Therapists to produce suitable solutions for the less able in our community.
  • Working knowledge of contract management, procurement legislation and procurement methodology
  • Understanding of Standard forms of contract, how they are applied and used from a client perspective on construction projects
  • Structured and logical approach to fiscal contract management
  • Degree in Building Surveying or HNC in construction
