The SEND Team is a statutory service that coordinates assessment and delivery of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP’s), including provision and placement, for children and young people from 0-25 years old.
Operating in a person-centred approach the team works from their base at Huyton Municipal Buildings. Ensuring that statutory functions are met and working in partnership with colleagues across health and social care, is a fundamental component of providing our children, young people and their families with a high standard service.
A post of Children and Young Person’s Engagement and Consultation officer is now available within the service. The right person will hold a small SEND Caseworker caseload however the main focus will be on engagement and consultation across multiple settings with children and young people to promote the “voice of the child” within Knowsley.
At Knowsley Council we will consider requests for flexible working. For most roles, the following types of flexibility are usually possible: flexible hours, working from home, compressed hours, part-time.
