Maternity Cover (12-month contract)
September start or sooner.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and motivated individual to join our school community who can contribute towards our mission, to be “An Inclusive Community of Excellence and Opportunity”.

At our vibrant and dynamic school, we focus on being respectful, aspirational and compassionate. Every member of staff plays an important role in promoting these values.

The school is proud of its open, collaborative, supportive and forward-thinking culture and we are at an exciting point of our development.

Saints Peter and Paul Catholic High School is a vibrant and dynamic school community with a relentless focus on improvement through securing high expectations and aspirations for all our community. Ofsted rated us as ‘Good’ in July 2022.

We need a teacher of Girls PE who would relish the opportunity to join our dedicated and talented staff. PE is part of a multi-subject faculty which allows for collaboration and support across different subject areas. We pride ourselves on our students consistently achieving excellent outcomes year on year.

The facilities we have at Saints Peter and Paul include a sports hall, dance studio, gymnasium, athletics track and field, sports field and tennis courts.

Our curriculum aims to inspire students to be motivated and enthused when taking part in physical activity in the hope that this will continue into their adulthood and encourage all students to make informed life choices which have a positive impact on their physical and mental health. In addition, we deliver an extra-curricular programme to allow students to build on skills and knowledge learnt in lessons and develop confidence in competitive situations. By attending, students have the opportunity to participate and represent our school community in regular local and national competitions. We are proud of our strong links with community clubs, universities and trainee providers.

We will offer you the opportunity to;

  • Be welcomed into our supportive staff team and experience our special sense of community
  • Be supported in your continued professional development
  • Become part of the extremely strong and supportive Archdiocese of Liverpool Secondary School Improvement Trust in which there are regular opportunities to collaborate and share practice
