Passionate about education and committed to delivering exceptional customer service? We have a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a new challenge, where every day is different!
We have a rarely available opportunity for an Area Schools Officer to join our highly valued and established Area School Support Team. In this role you will be at the heart of delivering a high quality and responsive support service to retain the existing traded offer and to develop new commercial opportunities, within a changing education landscape.
The Area School Support Service sits within our Education and Lifelong Learning Directorate under the well-established Directorship of Liz Mills. The directorate is committed to working in partnership with education providers to ensure Surrey's children and young people have access to full time education, and to ensure vulnerable learners are supported to achieve their full potential.
Our Service contributes fully to the county council's commitment to deliver a child centred and coordinated approach to keeping children safe, high-quality teaching and learning experiences and professional curiosity, support and challenge, in partnership with schools and education settings.
The Area School Support Team operates within a fast paced and varied environment where no one day is the same and where you will be at the forefront of developing and securing strong relationships with our colleagues and partners in schools and education in Surrey.
The service we deliver really can make an impact in school improvement and performance to provide better outcomes for all our children and young people.

You'll bring your resilience to remain calm under pressure, with skilled customer service, coaching and influencing abilities and the courage to challenge appropriately when required.
Your strong and visible leadership will both inspire and motivate colleagues, modelling behaviours that demonstrate how accountability, a positive and solution focussed outlook supports the agile delivery of highly valued services that respond to the changing needs of our education customers.
The skills and experience you bring are important to us but equally, your values and behaviours will be key to your success in this role.
