Public Protection Partnership (PPP) is a shared Environmental Heath, Licensing and Trading Standards Service for Bracknell Forest and West Berkshire in Berkshire. We also work with Wokingham Borough Council to deliver a Shared Trading Standards Service along with a number of other services,

The priority of Licensing is very high on the agenda of the respective Councils with effecting licensing controls seen to be supporting a number of cross cutting priority areas such as public health, crime reduction and the safer streets agenda.

We currently have vacancies for two Licensing Officers within the team. The role will involve carrying out inspections and enforcement activity, investigating breaches, contributing to reports for Licensing Committees and Sub-Committees and attending meetings and presenting reports where required.

We work closely with partners both internally and externally and the role will involve working some unsociable hours.

Qualification and Experience

A Level or equivalent qualification

You must also have recent suitable experience of:

  • Experience of working in a fast-moving customer focused environment.
  • Previous experience in Licensing, Trading Standards or Environmental Health would be desirable.
  • Experience of dealing with customer enquiries.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to prioritise workloads and work to tight timescales.
  • Strong IT skills
