Fixed term contract (2 years)

The Borough of Broxbourne is in south east Hertfordshire, just north of London and the M25, with a population of 96,000. It is an attractive place to live and work and is just 25 minutes from Liverpool Street and Stratford International stations by train. It is an exciting time to join Broxbourne! We have secured £14.3 million from our Levelling Up Fund (LUF) bid in the town of Waltham Cross which will fund a two-year programme with three capital regeneration projects. The delivery of these projects, alongside significant developer led investment, provide an opportunity for transformative change in Waltham Cross. 

 

Project “Restore Civic Pride” will involve significant public realm and road improvements that will transform the heart of the town.

 

Project “Enhance Life Chances” will deliver a refurbished community hub and sills training centre to improve job prospects for local people and reduce poverty.

 

Project “Health and Wellbeing” will deliver enhances sports and recreations facilities to improve health and welling and reduce anti-social behavior. 

 

You will assist the Programme Manager to provide overall management and effective implementation of the LUF programme, including reporting to the LUF Delivery Board, undertaking monitoring and evaluation in accordance with Government requirements, governance, assurance and financial management. You will co-ordinate a complex, high value programme delivered alongside partners. Stakeholder engagement and communication will be key to succeeding in this role.  You will also support with delivery of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).

 

You will be highly organised, an excellent communicator and have the ability to work effectively using your own initiative. Some previous experience of project management, town centre regeneration and or experience submitting Government returns is desirable. The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in fluent English is essential in this post.
