About Us
City of Lincoln Council are looking to recruit an experienced Internal Auditor to join our small team. We have an in-house Internal Audit Team working in partnership with the Lincolnshire County Council Assurance Lincolnshire Team. The post is advertised as full time 37 hrs a week, applications for part time hours and different working patterns are encouraged. We operate a hybrid approach to working, working remotely at home and within City Hall. There may also be opportunities to work with other local clients either on site or remotely.
The ideal candidate will have experience in working in Internal Audit preferably in a local government environment although candidates with audit or similar experience within a different field are also encouraged to apply. The position involves undertaking a range of audits throughout the Council including scoping, designing audit programmes, testing, reporting and discussing the findings of the review with auditees including senior management. Therefore, awareness and knowledge of internal audit methodologies and standards (PSIAS), good communication skills and knowledge of Local Government is required.
For this post you need to be a member of the AAT or hold an equivalent qualification. We will consider exceptional candidates who are studying towards a relevant qualification.
