The role – Health and Safety Manager
As Health and Safety Manager you will be a self-motivated and experienced Health and Safety Manager from a housing or facilities environment to assist the Head of Health and safety in implementing our Health and Safety Strategy, mentoring and supporting your staff members as well as the wider operational team to improve safety culture and performance within the business. This role is situated within the Health and Safety Department.
What you’ll do
You will
-
be the subject matter expert on a wide range of topics and be the point of contact for the operational departments

be responsible for managing staff, delivering training at all levels, completing complex incident investigations, completion of internal audits and provision of H&S requirements for contractor management.

advise and actively promote health and safety and its effective management throughout the organisation and to embed a culture of health and safety compliance in accordance with the needs and resources of the business.

Consult relevant interested parties to ensure that there are effective processes and procedures in place
What you’ll need
We’re looking for someone who has:
-
Must hold a nationally recognised health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH Diploma or BSc in Occupational Health

Previous Management Experience
-
Relevant Experience in Housing
-
Experience in delivering training across all levels of the business
-
You must live within a 1.5 hour commute to our Head Office in London to be able to respond if there was a significant incident
