This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established, Lexcel Accredited Legal Services Team in order to provide high quality legal advice to the full range of County Council Departments as well as Partners and External Clients.
Working as part of the Dispute Resolution Team you will be providing legal advice and assistance on a wide range of litigation matters, at all stages of the litigation process, in areas including debt recovery, contractual disputes, Judicial Review proceedings and civil enforcement action.
This role offers the opportunity to be involved in a wide variety of legal areas including Civil Litigation, Housing Law and Highways Law in order to support the full breath of the services of the County Council, Partners and External Clients. Therefore, you will need to be able to provide accurate, comprehensive and timely legal advice whilst managing a varied and demanding caseload.
You will need to have a recognised legal qualification as a Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive. You will have experience of holding a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters and experience of conducting your own advocacy.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a multi-disciplinary team of legal professionals with the aim of supporting the County Council to deliver its key services.
