Property Manager
Do you have the skill set to lead our teams who manage the around 2100 units of temporary accommodation for both Richmond and Wandsworth Councils
If so, this is a unique opportunity to work in our ground-breaking shared staffing arrangement across both boroughs.
This key role is primarily responsible for providing an efficient housing management service to our homeless households for the Councils’ directly managed temporary accommodation, ensuring properties and safe and suitable and let efficiently.
We are seeking to recruit a dynamic and innovative Manager who can lead a diverse team of property management officers and technical staff to deliver our aims and work to our values.
You will be a self-motivated manager who has a track record of leading teams, ensuring targets are exceeded, through effective team development and management.

The roleThe London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and London Borough of Wandsworth present a unique opportunity to be part of a team who are working together to create a ground-breaking shared staffing structure across both boroughs.
We are seeking to recruit a Property Management Officer to join the team in a very busy and demanding position with responsibility for a portfolio of temporary accommodation including casework management of the client and for housing management and repairs.
You will be responsible for the provision of a fully comprehensive housing management service to clients in directly managed temporary accommodation dispersed across and outside both councils.
You will need to have skills and abilities to deal sensitively with homeless households and single vulnerable clients presenting to the Council as homeless. You should also be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
You should have excellent negotiation skills as well as experience in managing temporary accommodation. Applicants must be able to work in a pressured environment; ensuring they provide attention to detail whilst being able to meet tight deadlines with minimum supervision.
You must be able to demonstrate the ability to visit and inspect properties in line with Health & Safety Requirements and be able to specify void works required to bring a property back to a standard to be let.
