Contracts Manager

The Post

We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Contracts Manager to lead and manage NEC4 based highways maintenance contracts, the implementation of highways capital schemes , vehicle crossings construction , reactive and cyclical drainage cleansing programmes and highways-based insurance claims.

The Person

The successful candidate will have degree or higher-level qualification in a transportation, civil engineering, construction or legal discipline and extensive relevant professional experience together with significant experience and knowledge of highways term contracts, highways design and maintenance, asset management, capital and revenue finance.  You will also lead a team of highways managers, engineers and inspectors.

The working environment is fast-paced and you will need to be agile and flexible in your approach.  You will be an effective communicator, both in writing and orally and be able to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with Members, staff, customers and contractors.
