Location: Working from home and Flitwick Library other CBC offices if needed, including Priory House, Shefford. You will be expected to attend a CBC office location on a weekly basis minimum, and as needed to carry out your role

About the role
Inspiring Music is the Music Service for Central Bedfordshire Council and lead partner of the music hub for the area.
We work with schools, other services withing the council and carefully selected partners to ensure the children of Central Bedfordshire can experience the joy and benefits of making music, giving them transferrable skills for life, and enriching their education.

Music Education is an essential part of a broad and balanced curriculum and allows children of all backgrounds to reap the benefits of making music and showcase their talents in the many events we organise.

As our Data and Admin Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for our customers as well as our teaching team, being the confident and friendly voice at the end of the phone and the wordsmith when responding to the wide variety of requests received daily in the service’s inbox.
The role is key to keeping our database up to date and enrolling students to the many lessons we offer as well as liaising with our music tutors to ensure all students enrolled receive lessons.
You will need to develop an in depth understanding of our database to be able to record the information correctly and produce a variety of reports the service requires.
Your numeracy and analytical skills will be called upon when checking and reconciling claims and invoices submitted by our team of self-employed tutors.
This role requires the use of many IT based software and a solid knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word and Excel. The ability to problem-solve and very strong organisational skills are essential.
We welcome applicants with a minimum of A-level, NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualifications to apply. This role requires the use of many IT based software and a solid knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word and Excel. Knowledge and understanding of database are essential. Training on our database, SpeedAdmin will be provided. Excellent command of the English language, good customer and listening skills as well as patience are of crucial importance when answering the phone and responding to customers queries over the phone. Good numeracy skills are essential to reconciling and vetting invoices submitted by our team of self-employed teachers.
As this role is very varied, very strong organisational and multi-tasking skills are required.
