Making A Difference as a Social Worker in Contact Cares – Emergency Department

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an established social care team in the Emergency Department at Whiston Hospital. We are an enthusiastic multi-disciplinary team with the primary aim of ensuring a safe and timely discharge of patients across a number of local authorities. The team work closely with Frailty Unit also to achieve the same The work is diverse, challenging and rewarding, requiring individuals to be able to work independently and contribute to the working of a larger multi-disciplinary team. The team is a mixed skill group with a range of experience who provide a supportive working environment. We would also welcome applicants who would work 37 hrs per week, on a rota basis. You would be expected to work on a rolling 7 day rota including evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Team members are not currently based at the A&E Department and are working remotely from an office on site and visit the department throughout the day. There is occasional opportunity to work from home after induction and dependant on the needs of the service.
