Senior Accountant
About Us:
Resources Directorate – Accountancy Services. This is an exciting time to be in Preston and the directorate is playing its part in making the city a great place to live, work and visit.
We are looking to recruit a CCAB or CIMA qualified Senior Accountant to join our Accountancy Services Team. You will provide accurate, timely and comprehensive financial information and analysis, assisting the Principal Accountant (Projects) to support regeneration and development projects across the Council.
This varied role will include all aspects of financial monitoring for capital and revenue project budgets and supporting grant funded schemes from financial aspects of bids to making claims and providing monitoring information. There will also be the opportunity to work on the development of new projects, including financial evaluation, project costing and sensitivity analysis.
We are looking for someone who can advise project and service managers, is able to work as part of a multi-skilled team, can produce accurate and pertinent information to tight deadlines and can present financial information to a variety of audiences. The post holder must possess strong planning, organisational and co-ordination skills.
