Fraud Investigator

We are recruiting to Fraud Investigator roles within a highly respected and award winning service.

We are looking for a self-motivated and driven individual who wants a change in career or those wanting to develop existing skills in fraud prevention, detection, and investigation. This role requires good decision-making skills, an ability to manage a high-volume case load to demanding targets and time scales and deliver excellent outcomes for our partners.

Purpose of Role:
At the Shared Anti-Fraud Service we protect the public purse from the constant threat of fraud. Our dedicated team of fraud and financial investigators, intelligence officers and data-analyst combat fraud every day working with colleagues in Councils, housing providers, DWP, HMRC and the Police.

Working with Councils and other organisations across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and the UK we provide advice and guidance regarding fraud and corruption, undertake proactive counter-fraud exercises, data-analytics and deliver training and awareness

Challenges and Opportunities:

You’ll be actively involved in all aspects of our counter fraud operations, gaining experience with investigations in a variety of allegations concerning blue badge, housing, council tax, education, insurance and social services.

Working alongside experienced investigators you will take on a range of tasks including: collation of evidence, conducting interviews with witnesses and suspects, collate data and present your findings. You will learn and grow quickly, picking up valuable skills and knowledge enabling you to lead your own criminal and civil investigations.

Technical Skills: 
For candidates that are not already ACFS qualified you will have the chance to develop your skills and complete your IIA Practitioner Level 4 apprenticeship standard / Accredited Counter Fraud Specialist training
