About us

We're working closely with our communities to build a better, fairer Camden for everyone, and to make sure that nobody gets left behind. We’ve experienced significant challenges in recent years including from the pandemic and cost of living crisis and the impacts on those who live, work and study in the borough. Throughout these times, we have seen the extraordinary community spirit of Camden. As we move forward, it’s crucial we all stay working together to create the best future for our residents. To help us achieve this, we are looking for two experienced communications managers to join our team and deliver the very best resident-focused communications.

The role

We’re looking for two communications managers to join our team at Camden Council to support our priorities and the strategic plan for the borough - We Make Camden. We’re looking for creative and innovative professionals to deliver targeted, multi-channel, evidence-based communications. Each role will own a diverse portfolio of work which may change over time to align with priorities. That said, for one role we are looking for someone with an interest in communication of regeneration and development to help our local economy thrive and grow – including through our Community Investment Programme. We’re looking for two experienced and talented people who can use insights and their expertise to develop and deliver creative campaigns that have proven impact.

About you

You will have a degree-level qualification or equivalent work experience. You’ll have strong writing skills, an excellent understanding of communications channels and experience of targeting audiences effectively. You will be able to confidently demonstrate how you have evidenced, targeted, delivered and evaluated communications. You will be confident engaging with senior stakeholders and working in partnership on priority issues.

You will have the experience and skills to deliver high-performing, evidence-based internal communications across the organisation, and have experience working with senior stakeholders.
