In Welwyn Hatfield we don’t just talk big: we’re the biggest landlord in the area, with 9,000 rented and 1,300 leasehold homes. Our multi-million-pound regeneration projects include the development of leisure, industrial, retail and operational sites, and we’re investing £150 million in people’s homes over the next five years with a target of being net zero by 2030.
We’re looking for ambitious people to help us make an even greater impact. You’ll join a forward-thinking organisation with a new Chief Executive and senior management team in place and will enjoy excellent benefits, including flexible working, a local government pension, and generous annual leave entitlement.
Focusing on both housing and commercial property assets, you will ensure compliance with evolving legislation and best practice, meet some stretching performance targets and operate closely with customers and colleagues to deliver outstanding service. Formally qualified in Building Studies, you should be highly experienced in diagnosing building faults and providing cost-effective solutions. This will give you the ability to identify repairs, draw up specifications, make technical decisions and solve complex problems, and you should be knowledgeable regarding building standards and passionate about delivering customer focussed outcomes.
The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
Closing date for applications is 4 June 2023.
Assessments will be held on 12 June 2023.
Interviews will be held on 21 June 2023.
