With brilliant, visionary leadership, a dynamic Cabinet and a can-do culture, we’ve built strong partnerships across the borough which have transformed how we serve one of London’s most diverse boroughs.  Hounslow is the world in one place, full of potential, but a borough hit hard -socially and economically -by Covid-19. We have stepped up for our residents and businesses like never before.

1. To lead the process of commissioning and coordinating the interagency safeguarding training programme for Hounslow Children’s Specialist Services and HSCP.
2. To work proactively with all agencies to ensure that learning needs across the Department are identified for all relevant staff, especially in areas of skills development and good practice, and address via appropriate training.
3. To take a key role in the evaluation of all safeguarding training whether commissioned or delivered by member agencies, to ensure that safeguarding training is of the highest quality possible and in line with Government Guidance.
4. To lead on the development of interagency collaborative practice, noting current developments in good practice, including those identified by research, local or national case review. This may be through specific project development and may include an annual HSCP conference.

Your Skills:

1. Ability to provide high quality, reflective, analytical and evidence-based training to develop practice to the highest professional standards to achieve excellent outcomes with and for children, young people and their families.
2. Ability to demonstrate professional thinking and research skills in children’s safeguarding and care and to implement this across the service.
3. Ability to manage resources within budgetary constraints, securing best value and cost effectiveness.
4. Ability to analyse information from a range of quality assurance mechanisms including performance data and audits, producing reports of a high quality for HSCB and senior managers.
Professional Qualifications

1. Professional Social Work qualification: CQSW, DipSW, CCETSW approved equivalent, Social Work degree.
2. Social Worker England registration and good standing with the registering body.
