Customer Advisor (Repairs)

Launched in Spring 2018, Homes First amalgamates Lewes District Council's in house management of social housing with Eastbourne Borough Council’s arm’s length management organisation (ALMO) Eastbourne Homes Ltd. Homes First manages a combined property portfolio of over 8,500 homes and will invest almost £20M per annum in maintenance, service contracts, major repairs and improvements. Homes First has a varied property portfolio from rural individual properties to flats in busy town centres Our service is also growing as the Councils' new investment companies develop new housing covering a range of different tenures and accommodation types.

Repairs Customer Services Officer

The in-house Property Services Team deliver responsive repairs for our social housing portfolio. The post holder will be the first point of contact for customers reporting repairs via phone or e mail, and then allocating works to contractors and seeing them through to completion. This role is all about empathy and taking personal ownership and responsibility for helping our tenants and leaseholders. Excellent communication skills and good IT skills required. Some knowledge of building construction would be helpful, but a willingness to learn, help people, and have a great personality is more important. This role could lead on to other surveying and maintenance opportunities. These posts are based in our new office in Eastbourne Town Hall.
