Tenancy Officers are at the frontline of our housing service: working closely with tenants and residents to ensure our communities are safe, happy and sustainable places to live.
You will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality tenancy services to our tenants, including tenancy sustainment, enforcement and involvement. This includes building relationships with other agencies to support your work.
In this particular role we are looking for a caring and compassionate person to join a specialist housing team working across three of the Council’s ‘Housing with Care’ schemes in the district. As such you will be working closely with the elderly, disabled and vulnerable adults living in the schemes alongside carers, social care staff and family members.
You will need experience working in social housing or a similar environment and be comfortable dealing with members of the public; you will also have experience of inter-agency relationships and preferably hold a CIH level 3 qualification or equivalent in an appropriate discipline.
You will need a full valid driving licence and have access to a car as you will be required to work flexibly from all three sites. Please note there are limited opportunities to work from home.
This post is also subject to a basic DBS check.
For an informal chat about the role please contact Sharon Stewardson on 01636 655778
We offer enrolment in the career average local government pension scheme, flexi scheme, a generous annual leave entitlement that increases with service, a whole host of family-friendly benefits, 1 days’ paid volunteering leave, lifestyle benefits platform, and £10 a month gym membership at one of our four gyms in the district.
You will be working with a professional, committed and experienced team who are passionate about supporting us to deliver the objectives as outlined in our Community Plan
*Current pay offer £1,925 per annum on all scale points, still under negotiation
As an employer we will promote an inclusive working environment to maintain and develop a forward thinking and diverse workforce.
Veterans/family of forces/ex-forces, those in care/care leavers, and candidates who declare disabilities (as defined by the Equality Act 2010) will be guaranteed interviews provided they have demonstrated that they meet the essential criteria of the post as detailed in the Person Specifications on their application forms.
Closing Date: 12 noon, Monday 12 June 2023
Interviews: Week commencing 19 June 2023
