Now is an exciting time to be joining the Housing team at Winchester City Council. We are looking for a Homeownership Officer to provide a professional housing management service.
About the job:
This position is full time - 37 hours per week.
Salary: £28,371 - £32,020
The role will be responsible for effective management of all our shared ownership, leasehold, Right to Buy and private residential lettings.
You will manage and administer all applications from tenants to purchase their homes through the ‘Right to Buy’ scheme, ensuring that the Right to Buy process is completed in line with all relevant legislation and within the required timeframes.
You will also be responsible for the administration of the annual service charge accounting processes for Leaseholders maximising service charge income through the co-ordination of all service charging activities and undertaking income collection and recovery processes.

About you:
You will be confident, have a positive attitude and a commitment to delivering high customer service.
Additionally, you will be a team player, have the ability to work under-pressure to meet deadlines and knowledge of service charges, S20 consultation and have experience working with excel and word applications.
You will have experience in the Homeownership sector and have at least 2 years experience either working in a customer facing role or in a social housing environment.
The successful candidate must be able to meet the travel requirements of the post. Please note that this post is subject to a DBS Check.
