Site Officer

The Early Help Service consists of a multi-disciplinary team that works with children, young people, and families.  We work across five sites, Braccan Walk and four Family Hubs.

 

Here, in Bracknell Forest, everything we do is about changing families’ lives for the better. As part of the Early Help service, you will be supporting the Team Leaders with the day to day operation of our sites to ensure the buildings are a welcoming safe space for our residents, because we are Bracknell Forest.   

 

What it’s like working in our team…

You will be part of the council’s  Early Help service who support families,young people and children with a range of needs. As a team member you will contribute to our ‘can do’ approach by being flexible and responsive to the needs of our service.   You will need to combine the ability to work  both independently and collaboratively whilst supporting team colleagues.  

 

You will be supported to carry out the following duties and responsibilities

  1. Liaise with the Team Leaders on all matters to do with the day-to-day operation of the sites, opening and closing buildings when necessary.
  2. Health and safety site maintenance such as checking alarm systems, water checks etc.
  3. Undertake minor repairs, maintenance and replacements as required by Team Leaders including replacing of electric bulbs and fluorescent tubes.
  4. Report any larger repairs via Frontline an online system, meet contractors on site and deal with enquiries.
  5. Maintain the outside areas and make safe during inclement weather
  6. Attend training courses as required by the Team Leader

  • Our Ideal candidate will have experience and ability to undertake practical duties when maintaining buildings.
  • Good communication skills: ability to deal with all visitors to the Centre in a polite and friendly manner.
