Administration Assistant/Receptionist (Grade 3)

The Governing Body of Woodlands Primary School wish to appoint a hardworking, organised and enthusiastic individual to join our busy, dynamic and friendly office team.

We are looking for someone who is professional, highly motivated and possesses excellent communication and IT skills. A good sense of humour is always a positive too!

The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and accuracy, together with the ability to use their initiative. Full training will be given in school systems, however previous school experience would be an advantage.

The role will be varied and will involve being first point of contact for parents, other agencies and the community.  It will involve acting as receptionist, maintaining school systems and dealing the daily general and varied admin tasks involved in a busy school office.

The candidate must be willing to undertake first aid training.

The post is for 35 hours a week, 8.30am-4.00pm, 38 weeks per year.

This is a permanent post (following the statutory probationary period).  Ideally, we would like the start date to be as soon as possible once the necessary references and checks have been carried out.  This can be discussed further at interview.

Our school community places the highest priority on keeping our children safe.  Applicants for all posts will be subject to stringent vetting and induction processes. The holder of this post will be required to work with children under the age of 18 in a position of trust, and is, therefore, exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. The successful candidate will be subject to the relevant checks and enhanced DBS.
