Guildford Borough Council's Playrangers service is looking for casual members of staff to join the small team of play workers.
The Playranger service provides accessible and challenging outdoor play environments in local parks and open spaces across the Guildford borough. The Playrangers sessions have an overall aim to encourage, support and widen accessibility to play opportunities for children; to allow them to play freely and enjoy the benefits of playing in the outdoors in their community. The primary age range of children for this service is five to twelve years old.
Staff will assist in the day-to-day delivery of the Playranger service, this will involve loading and unloading play equipment, ensuring children are signed-in, supervise and monitor sessions, help lead on activities and support the team daily.
The Guildford Playrangers service is looking for highly motivated and organised individuals who are able to advocate for and demonstrate the value and importance of high quality, outdoor play for children in the borough.
Hours available from 3pm to 6pm, Monday to Wednesday during school term time. £13.50 per hour. All essential training provided.
