We are looking for an Energy Projects Manager to provide strategic direction and leadership to the Energy Billing function, ensuring projects are delivered to time, cost, and quality expectations, and in accordance with all Council, professional and legislative requirements. delivers a high-quality service and ambitious delivery plans for reducing the Council’s energy consumption.
THE ROLE
Energy Projects Manager
Grade: PO6
Salary range: £45,834 to 48,819
As Energy Projects Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of energy programmes and projects which contribute to carbon reductions and cost efficiencies across the Council’s corporate estate, including SALIX investment, Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme and Automated Meeting Reading rollout programmes. You will be leading the Energy Management billing function, which manages c.£10 million of annual utilities spend. To provide detailed analysis of the Council’s energy usage, identifying cost risks from market trends and using data to inform the development of pipeline projects which support value for money, carbon reduction, Climate Emergency, and other corporate priorities.
We are looking for an experienced manager who can combine in-depth technical energy management expertise with demonstrable project management skills. The ability to work collaboratively with external partners, funding bodies and senior stakeholders across the Council will also be key to success.
