Our Trust has two amazing special schools and we are recruiting for a range of support roles for Connaught.

Connaught Special School:

  • Caters for complex autistic pupils.
  • Provides a stimulating environment where children can be safe and enjoy learning with a dedicated team of staff.  Staff are our most important resource and we invest heavily in CPD based on individual need.
  • Ensures that all our young people  receive individual and personalised learning and support.
  • Will provide up to 26 pupil places at a temporary site in Upton Cross Primary School in Newham. When opened at its new, permanent site on Royal Road in Oct 2024 the school will have a capacity of 105 pupils.

The Role of a Positive Behaviour Support TA

The role would be to support the learning of all students across all ages who have significant learning difficulties, physical needs and, at times, challenging behaviours.

  • We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate initiative, integrity, a willingness to learn and positive interaction with others to support the profound nature of our students' needs.
  • The role will involve taking part in physical activities including swimming and supporting personal care for students.
  • To support the teacher in delivering the personalised curriculum for students.

If you have the ambition and you are passionate about outcomes for pupils with SEND, then please contact us on  info@connaught.lihtrust.uk if you would like further information.
