Waverley Borough Council is based in Godalming, Surrey and is recruiting to a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Commercial Property & Regeneration Lawyer to join a friendly team on a hybrid working basis.
In this role you’ll be required to handle a range of property law matters, including:
- Leases
- Licenses
- Sales and purchases of land
- Landlord and tenant matters
- Easements
The successful candidate will also, from time to time, be involved in and expected to advise upon regeneration projects within the Borough.
Previous public sector experience is desirable, although commercial property Lawyers from private practice backgrounds are still encouraged to apply. What’s more important for us is a lawyer who is sufficiently experienced so that they can deal with some of our diverse and interesting cases. This is likely to involve preparing, negotiating and advising on all aspects of the council’s real estate business. This could range from small property matters to large projects involving multiple agencies and client interests, including the third sector and charitable organisations.
