Senior Licensing Officer

We are looking for a forward thinking, experienced and enthusiastic Officer to manage the operation and policy of the Licensing Team to deliver a high-quality service.

The post holder will be responsible for all aspects of Licensing operational service delivery and compliance with statutory duties and assist the Principal Trading Standards Officer in the management and operation of the Licensing Team.

You will oversee the administration and enforcement of licences to ensure compliance with relevant legal requirements, codes of practice and agreed service standards and attend and support the effective conduct of licence application hearings and committee meetings.

You will provide specialist technical advice/knowledge in relation to the functions of the team and administer and enforce licensing legislation, and provide advice to businesses, licence holders and members of the public relevant to the responsibilities of the team.

The successful candidate will have good organisational and supervisory skills, be an excellent communicator and be confident in dealing with members of the public, businesses, elected Members and other agencies.
