Legal Officer

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced legal officer to join our Adult Care and Health Legal Team.

If you are looking for a varied and rewarding position within a supportive and skilled team, this role could be for you. 

 

The role

The focus of the post is on providing legal  and administrative support to a team of Lawyers in relation to a busy caseload of complex public law adult cases.

Candidates  will possess a good level of communication and excellent IT skills to work proficiently in Word, Adobe Pro, Excel and be competent in the use  of a legal case management system to quickly and efficiently create and manage documentation under pressure. Attention to detail is important.

Candidates will need to be a highly organised, flexible and focused. An ability to prioritise and to switch between tasks at short notice is essential.  A strong team player is required who will be able to apply their knowledge innovatively and proactively. Duties are varied but will include liaising with the courts and any parties to the court proceedings, assisting with the preparation of court bundles and evidence and be able to attend court if required.

The successful candidate will be required to attend the office as a minimum on one  set day each week when the team come together in the office. The candidate may be asked to attend additional days in the office if the business need requires it and at the start of any appointment in order to become familiar and competent in the post's duties and responsibilities
