We are looking for an experienced HGV Mechanic to work within our well equipped, busy transport workshop, maintaining the council’s fleet of vehicles and plant.

The successful applicant must have the necessary knowledge and skills to maintain a wide range of vehicles and plant including refuse and recycling trucks, vans and various types of plant machinery.   

You must be qualified to City & Guilds or NVQ standard in vehicle repairs and maintenance.

A category C HGV driving licence is desirable but not essential with no more than three penalty points. 

Practical experience in the Municipal vehicle maintenance, Inc Refuse, Sweepers and LCV’s sector is also desirable but not essential.
