Lawyer - Property

If you are a lawyer with a background in property law, we have the perfect role for you.

Joining our experienced and supportive Property team you'll have the opportunity to undertake a diverse caseload, with a range of clients.

This role offers the flexibility of hybrid working and we'll also consider applications from those seeking part-time hours.

We are looking for a commercial property lawyer to join our team of eight Property Team colleagues to deal with an exciting and varied range of local authority work.   The Property Team provides advice to the County Council, District Councils and to other external public bodies who engage our services.  Our work includes complex property work including property development work and project working, sales, acquisitions, deeds of grant, landlord and tenant work and legal research and advice.

The candidate will have a background in property law and ideally have some knowledge of local government as a client (although this is not essential) and will need to demonstrate good communication and I.T skills, an ability to work as part of a team and the ability to prioritise and work confidently and flexibly under pressure to deliver a high quality service to clients.

Interested in the role and what we can offer?

We care about our staff so we want to offer you a competitive salary, generous holidays and access to our pension scheme. It is important to us that you have an excellent work/life balance and the opportunity to further develop your knowledge and skills in a supportive Local Authority setting where no two days are the same!

The position will be based in Lincoln but the Council has adopted a Smarter Working approach which means that the role will involve both remote working and office attendance.

Applicants must be lawyers who hold relevant qualifications or have equivalent experience. If this sounds like the role for you, then please read through the full Job Description and Post Outline. In order to be shortlisted please evidence the required experience and skills within the Personal Statement section of the application form. CV's will not be accepted for this position.
