Policy, Data Intelligence and Change Manager
This is an exciting opportunity to join Wyre Council and develop a team to work at the very heart of our decision-making and corporate planning process. You will have a close working relationship with the Chief Executive, Corporate Directors and Elected Members, making this an exciting and influential role.
You will have a unique opportunity to grow and develop your own team that will shape the way the council makes decisions by promoting the value of using data, insight and performance information to inform decision making and strategic direction. You will be responsible for providing policy advice and guidance and will lead on the development and delivery of the council’s Corporate Plan, which sets the strategic direction and priorities for the council.
The successful candidate will have experience of strategic policy and strategy development with a relevant project and/or programme management skills or qualification e.g. Prince2. With good understanding of performance management and knowledge of quality/improvement tools and their application, you will have an analytical and creative mind which is able to identify new and more impactful ways of working with data.
With experience of managing and leading transformation and change programmes, while thinking and acting strategically, you will have good communication skills and have the necessary skills to succeed in a political environment, with a good understanding of the challenges facing Local Government and the future provision of services.
