We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and innovative Principal Engineer to join our forward-thinking local authority using the latest Highway Improvement techniques to manage its network.

Based within North Somerset, boasting both beautiful coastlines and rural countryside, you will play a key role in this essential function to improve our highways across the region.  You will drive and develop safe and sustainable engineering solutions meeting technical and project requirements, as well as providing project management and support to less experienced members of the team.

Educated to a minimum Degree level (BEng or equivalent) or equivalent level qualification in Civil Engineering, you will have an interesting and varied workload and a great working environment.

Whilst this is a full-time permanent post, proposals around term time only or part time working will also be considered, to take into consideration individual circumstances.
