We are looking to recruit a practising Solicitor or Barrister to provide legal advice, support and assistance to council officers and members on contentious and regulatory functions relating to housing law, with a focus on disrepair claims.

Substantial experience of complex legal case work (especially on disrepair claims), legislation and procedure in civil courts is essential for this role along with excellent communication skills.

The Council is an excellent employer with rewarding conditions of service which include generous leave entitlement and sick pay, flexible and agile working, progressive HR policies, access to the local government pension
