Senior Auditor

Lincolnshire County Council are seeking to recruit auditors to join the team delivering across Lincolnshire County Council, our public sector and academy clients.  The successful candidates will work with experienced auditors in delivering audits across different service areas, providing a varied and interest role.

Internal audit is an interesting profession based upon a set of attributes including independence, objectivity and integrity. If you have a natural curiosity, a desire to share your relevant knowledge and experience and can demonstrate high quality written and verbal communications as well as a broad understanding of effective improvements and the key benefits provided by internal audit, we would love to hear from you.

We are seeking the following roles:

Senior Auditor – with knowledge of housing benefit subsidy to undertake specific work with our district client base and support delivery within the schools’ team.

Senior Auditor – to work across the Council services supporting the delivery of risk-based audits and contributing to new initiatives and improvements.

Senior Auditor Counter Fraud – to work with the CF team on the delivery of our proactive counter fraud plans across the Council.

Once proven in the role, there will be an opportunity to further explore an internal audit qualification.

If this sounds like something you would be interested in discussing, please get in touch to discuss this opportunity further.

Lincolnshire County Council has a flexible working policy, which includes themes such as a flexitime approach, condensed hours, as well as initiatives such as buying additional leave, corporate discounts and a generous pension scheme.  We operate a hybrid approach to working, which is a mix of working from home and the office.  The expectation is that staff are in the office in line with management requirements.

These roles are based in Lincoln and you will be expected to work across our Lincolnshire based clients.  A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.

If this  sounds like your potential next step, please contact the Principal Auditor, Hayley Bartlett, (Hayley.Bartlett@lincolnshire.gov.uk) who would be happy to share more about this exciting opportunity.
