We are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced person to work as an RAF SSI, working 2 days per week during term time at The Mosslands School, in a Combined Cadet Force RAF section we are proud to be forming. The school is situated in the heart of the Wallasey community.
The successful candidate will oversee the Cadet programme, this includes an afternoon Parade once per week. You will need to be prepared to work flexible hours when on weekends and camps and to provide the liaison between the contingent and the CCF RAF HQ and Area Instructors.
This position would be suitable for an ex-regular or reservist SNCO/officer or someone who has extensive experience of the cadet forces.
Full training will be provided and applicants should possess good interpersonal skills and enjoy working with young people in an approachable, friendly, and sympathetic manner and the ability to maintain appropriate boundaries and know when to listen, when to challenge and when to signpost if required.
Salary will be £24,496 per annum (pro rata of £8,284.40). In addition to the salary the post holder is
able to claim up to 51 days' Volunteer Allowance (VA) from the MOD at the current rate of £77.61 per day.
