About the role
Here in North Somerset, we have a vision to be open, fair and green. We are building a central Programme Management Office (PMO) to support excellent Project Management at NSC, and you will be a key team member of this PMO. You will have the opportunity to build your project management experience whilst supporting a variety of projects that will significantly reshape the development and delivery of council services, impact how our organisation works and improve the lives of our residents and our businesses.
As Project Support Officer, you will play an important role in developing and maintaining project management tools and ensuring accurate data collection and reporting of portfolios of projects. You will help promote best practice in project management throughout North Somerset Council.
This is a twelve-month fixed-term post.
What we are looking for…
We are looking for someone with knowledge and understanding of project management methods and delivery. You should have strong IT skills across the Microsoft suite with at least intermediate skills in Excel. Power BI skills would be a bonus. We value strong communication skills and experience of partnership and team working is required.
Experience of or an aptitude for analysing data and preparing and presenting information clearly and confidently is also required.
