We are recruiting to a permanent Assistant Team Leader/Senior Lawyer within one of our children’s social care teams.

About the position

The Assistant Team Leader/Senior Lawyer will be an experienced child protection lawyer and part of the management team for the Children’s Social Care team advising Harrow Council, based in the practice’s London office in Harrow, but expected to travel to courts and other offices as appropriate.

We are looking for a highly motivated and committed individual, with knowledge and experience of advising on complex child protection matters, judicial review and the ability to conduct and supervise special educational needs tribunal cases.  You should also have the ability to performance manage legal staff, contributing to creating a high-performance culture and have an awareness of the governance issues in a local authority environment.

The closing date for this role is the 9 December 2018.

The interview for this role will take place on 19th December 2018.

We are recruiting to the positon of Trainee Solicitor

About the position

The Trainee Solicitor roles offers the benefit of 2 years in the Legal Practice being trained and supervised in the following core skills: advocacy, drafting, negotiating, research, interviewing and advising.  You will spend 6 month periods in a specialist team, ranging from property and contracts to planning, social care and litigation. Having your own caseload and assisting others, you will demonstrate the highest standards of client care and take responsibility for your own learning and development.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test in late January or February 2019.
