Would you like to become a member of a thriving team and assist schools in raising standards for pupils in the Borough? If so, the Schools’ Personnel Service (SPS) has an exciting opportunity to join our successful and friendly department.
The service enjoys an excellent reputation, consistently receiving the highest ratings from our Schools Annual Surveys. We have secured a large buyback from our schools and Academies alike, largely because we provide a staffing administration, relief recruitment and personnel advisory service to Headteachers that we feel is second to none.
The main duties of the post will be to provide a personnel and administration service in connection with all staffing matters for the employment of school-based staff and to offer advice and support.
You will have proven skills and the ability to work at an operational level in personnel, be a proficient user of IT systems (SAP desirable), be a creative problem solver and have a sound understanding of employment law. Knowledge of local government pay and conditions of service and the local management of schools would be advantageous. Our customers are rightly demanding and expect a high level of service, so excellent customer service and the ability to converse with a wide range of stakeholders is essential to our work.
The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for this post
Hours: 36 hours per week x 52 weeks per annum (Consideration to be given to those who can work on a daily basis for at least 5.5 hours per day)
