We are looking for a candidate with the potential to become a future leader in local government. You will have the opportunity to make a real contribution towards improving the quality, accessibility and efficiency of public services in Waverley.
You will undertake a minimum of three placements in key areas in the council including corporate, front-line and support services.
We will enable you to develop the range of skills needed to become a high performing manager and will support you to achieve a management qualification from the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM).
You will manage our successful apprenticeship scheme. We aim to recruit up to 4 apprentices a year, typically on a 2 year contract. You will help co-ordinate recruitment and support the apprentices while they are with us.
Waverley staff are entitled to 2 days a year volunteering leave, supporting various communities and charities across our area. You will co-ordinate this volunteering scheme for all staff.
