Social Worker - Looked After Children Services
Contract Type: Permanent/Full-Time
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social work practitioner in the Looked After Children service based at Triangle House in Palmers Green Enfield. The post holder will have a varied caseload including Court cases, children who are Looked After by Enfield in a variety of settings and those children who are being placed for adoption.
This is supportive team with small supervision groups and a commitment to group supervision and ongoing support. The successful candidate will be passionate about working with looked after children, and will have previous experience of court work. Social workers are encouraged to continue to develop their professional knowledge and to use this in direct work with children and young people. There is an excellent ASYE programme as well as bespoke training for more experienced workers.
The Looked After Children Service is busy, supportive and committed to continuous improvement.

The standard process is for posts to be advertised on the Councils redeployment and internal site concurrently, however those members of staff that are at risk of redundancy and on the Council’s redeployment register will be considered first.
The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for this post.
