We are looking for an Information Systems Analyst to join our IT team at the Valuation Tribunal Service. As a statutory, non-departmental public body (NDPB), sponsored by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, we are responsible for the administration of Council Tax and Non-Domestic Rating appeals.

This role will provide exposure to a range of IT related work. Reporting to the IT Manager, you will provide a range of IT support across our network. Your specific responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring our business developments are supported by appropriate IT solutions
  • Providing proactive support, advice, training and guidance to staff and stakeholders on all IT matters
  • Maintaining all necessary information technology procedures and ensuring
    that all systems are supported by the necessary documentation and manuals
  • Developing expertise in IT/IS systems and acting as a resource and provider of expertise to users.

Our ideal candidate will have had appropriate training and certification in a range of IT systems and software packages. We believe that this position will suit candidates who have had experience in central government and specifically within an NDPB.

You will have a good understanding of data security and information security issues.

You are also likely to have experience in client management and system development, using software such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Windows OS and Sharepoint.
